Mapleshade started visiting a Riverclan cat, and this may sound disloyal, but look at all the other cats that have done it. Recall Graystripe, Silverstream, Yellowfang, Leafpool, Crowfeather, Bluestar, Oakheart, and many others, now or in the future. Mapleshade had kits, and Thunderclan figured out that they weren't Thunderclan kits. She was exiled from Thunderclan, which is a more extreme punishment than some of the other leaders gave. She tried to join Riverclan, but as she crossed the river with the kits, she dropped them. They both drowned, and she got denied by her Riverclan mate. She was never let into Riverclan so she lived the poor life of a loner.
